Basically I have two computers and a multifunction printer. I'd like to be able to both print and scan with the multifunction printer.

I figure the cheapest way to do this is a simple USB switch. But after a quick Google, I couldn't find what I'm looking for (most of them are USB - Ethernet switches, which I don't want because that would mean I couldn't scan with the printer).

Is there a simple, pass-through USB dongle that has a physical switch on it to switch between USB ports? You know, like the old co-ax switches for TVs back in the day? Yeah, *that* simple. Does that exist?

Are the computers networked and if they are, you should be able to print and scan over the network - at least I can with my HP. I'm not sure if that is supported by all models though.
