I am looking at buying a USB to DVI or VGA adapter for my my work MacBook Pro. I have doing some research and I can't find any that will work well with a widescreen monitor. I have a Dell U2212HM. I was looking at http://www.iogear.com/product/GUC2020DW6/

But what are others that people recommend?

My plan is to use a Mini Display port to DVI for one of the monitors and a USB to DVI to a second external Dell monitor.

    Thanks!

You definitely want DVI over VGA, that resolution is prone to issues over analog.

I've not personally used them but I hear good things about the Plugable adapters. I use Plugable's SATA docks and USB hubs, and their customer service is excellent.
