Hi,
I'd like to try to use a Verizon EVDO Card with my iBook but of course I do not have the PCI slot. Is there an adapter out there that will maybe allow me to connect via USB? I couldn't find one. Thanks.

Matt

It's a PCMCIA card and I am not aware of anything that will allow you to hook it up through USB. An alternative might be to use your cell phone as a modem via bluetooth. I have done that in the past and it works okay. I was on the slow connection speed though. Not sure if it works for the high speed connections.

I knwo this is an old thread, but I believe that PCMCIA runs way faster than USB 2.0...😱

The only problem is that the ibook does not have the proper port to support the card.

There are no available adapters?

Compatibility with your specific card and with Mac is totally up in the air - you will have to research before buying:

Envoy
- seems to be Win only

PSI - you will have to inquire about compatibility
