USB TV tuner

I'm getting a TV tuner for my brother to use on his White book(old model if it makes any difference).

I don't really know anything about these. Also, one thing im concerned with is the analogue to digital conversion. So it needs to be future proof as far as that goes.

Elgato is champion in this arena since they effectively monopolize the only decent software for tuners. I don't even think they sell non-ATSC tuners anymore either.

Elgato is my recommendation. Great software and great hardware, either the EyeTV Hybrid or the EyeTV 250. Look at their site for the comparisons and stuff.

You don't need your own antenna to plug in do you? They have an integrated one?

No, just plug your cable tv cable into the jack and you are good to go!

I did. If he doesn't have cable then yes, he needs an antenna.
