Can anyone recommend a good OS X compatible USB video card that would work on a 2012 Mini? VGA output would be best, so I could use it with my switch to share the existing display I use for my PC.

I know performance on it will suck, but it will only be used to display email/chat/debuggers, so yeah, not an issue.

Been looking around google/amazon/newegg/etc and of course there are a million choices, and it seems OS X support is iffy on a lot of them.

Have 2 1080p monitors already, using the HDMI & thunderbolt ports.

    Thanks guys! :D

If you opened your Mac Mini, you'll see that there's no way to add a card. Your best bet is simply share your PC screen since, I am assuming; it's on the same network.

@nolimac: I'm assuming he needs an thunderbolt EXTERNAL video card :) but don't think it's worth it....untill thunderbolt 2 :)

Appreciate responses guys... but I asked about "USB video cards". Not thunderbolt, or internal

I was thinking of going the thunderbolt route originally, but those adapters are way too much, and performance doesn't matter in this case.

Buddy gave me a recommendation earlier today - so I'll give this a shot.

He bought a similar model (DVI version) and said it worked great on his Macbook to add an extra auxiliary display.

P.S. thunderbolt 2 would be nice in such a small machine. If only Apple would update it ;)

Why do you need VGA? Is that all the monitor supports?
