With all signs pointing towards os 4.0 having video conference calling i wonder if we can get a USB webcam working through the camera connection kit the same way some have with keyboards, hd's, etc...

Possible or pipe dream?

Looking at the architecture, this should be possible however it would require aa app on the iPad end to convert the 'active' data from the camera. Right now the iPad is only capable of transferring recorded data which is a slightly different protocol. But if someone wanted to create the drivers for thisthey most likely could. There is a blue tooth option to connect your iPhone Camera to the iPad which is more likely to happen being that it would require you to buy two of Steve's Apple devices. :D
