USB Wifi Dongle with Promiscuous mode

Hello,

I understand that the built in Wifi on the latest macbook pro's (2.4 ghz) does not support promiscuous mode. Is it possible to then use a USB wifi dongle that does?

How do i tell if the USB dongle I am buying supports promiscuous mode?
