Hello,

I have to do a presentation, but i was wondering if it was possible to use 1 mouse (Magic Mouse) on 2 computers (iMac late 2009 and MacBook late 2009, both with OSX 10.6.8 Snow Leopard). Then i will use the iMac to control the beamer with the Keynote and i will place the MacBook in the back of the room (it is not a very big room) as a sort of teleprompter. Then i can use the LMB to control Keynote and the RMB to control the "teleprompter-MacBook" (i will just put my text iMovie and play and pause it with QuickTime).

Is this possible, or do i have to use 2 mouses/keyboard&mouse?

Greetings,

Lukas

You can try Synergy if the two computers are networked together. It allows you to use one mouse and keyboard between two computers. It links the desktops (so when you go to the edge it appears on the other desktop). Not sure if this is what you want. The other solution I can think of is a KVM switch, but that usually requires manual switching and can become expensive.
