Who will be doing this? Using the Apple Watch strapless as a pocket watch?

All the naysayers who say that the watch is useless - it's just as easy to pull their phone out of their pocket than have it on their wrists - well now you CAN!

Just use it like a pocket watch!!

What's the benefit of this? One of the selling points is the data collection and monitoring of your body. You lose out on that if you keep it in your pocket. Also, you lose out on the workout component of the watch, i.e., it won't accurate (AFAIK), the steps you take. Finally being so small, you may risk pulling it out with your keys or money and dropping it.

I agree the key selling points of the watch are lost if you use it like a pocket watch. At that point it's exactly the same as pulling out your phone to respond to messages and check the time. Although I do disagree with the data collection in so far as steps go those may still be collected, however other data most likely will not be collected thus making the health and work out tracking totally useless.
