I have a 2017 iMac Retina 5K and need some more screen real estate. I'd also like to have a monitor that gives me some flexibility for the future as I'm likely to purchase a new MacBook Pro (16 inch) within the next year as well as use it with a Pixelbook Go.

I'm exploring the Dell 43-inch U4320Q. My inference is that this will work fine with my iMac. Just wanted to chime in here and assess if others on the board can confirm.

Thanks in advance for the help!

+1.
I'm wondering this as well. I have the late 2015 iMac compared to your 2017, interested to see if a secondary monitor is possible.

Interested as well. I’ve been trying multiple monitor configurations with a 27” iMac and don’t have a best solution.

The bezels and pixel density make it difficult.

With a 43” you would be sitting farther away and losing the benefits of the 5K iMac, or sitting closer to use the 5K making the 43” too big.

With regards to USB C functionality all I’ve had to do with a different model is plug it into my Macbook Pro and it’s been plug and play.

Can it rotate to portrait? Some Dell monitors can. The next external monitor I get will have to have that

Wonderful display but only 4k at a low pixel density and I feel you'd lose something with it sat in front of you as a solo display - it would surely fill up your field of view. Moreso if it's not even the primary screen.

A big market for this panel appears to be informational displays where up to 4 separate PCs can display on a 1920x1080 - PBP mode (Picture by Picture).
