Is there any way to use the iPad as a screen for say a 360 or ps3? I'm thinking something along the lines of xbmc but instead of the camera kit to use as an input, using the hdmi adapter as an input. New to the iPad and jail breaking so don't hate too bad.

I don't think it's possible right now without any capture devices. I think the most viable thing you'd have would be using a slingbox to broadcast to the slingbox app. Other than that, I just don't think the screen is able to turn itself over to a different input.

I wouldn't even recommend looking into a sling box either, I'm sure the latency between the devices is absolutely horrendous. You could also get a PC capture device, and route it through splashtop, but again... the latency is probably unbearable.

I see. Thanks for the info. Just thought it would be cool when the fiancé is using the tv

sort of related to this but can ps3 or xbox 360 controllers be used for the ipad?

someone hacked up something with the everyair app and something,

played PS3 with little enough lagg to make it playable!

The company who made everyair got bought up, and they might be planning something big.
