I just got an iPod Touch.

Can it use the charger that came with my iPad?

They both use the docking cable, but does the charger put out too much juice for the iPod?

You are safe.

No worries at all, the VOLTAGE is the same, the iPad PSU is identical to the iPhone / iPod, other than a higher current rating. A device will only draw what current it needs, no more, no less. So in some ways using the iPad PSU with your iPhone / iPod Touch is better, i.e. it will likely run cooler than the original when under load.

Hope this helps !

Like the previous posters said, it is totally fine to use it. I do it all the time, and no problems here.
