iPad mini Use iPad2 Restore to load Mini apps??

I'm still waiting for my iPad Mini, but have an iPad 2 with tons of apps. When I get my Mini, can I back up my iPad 2 to iTunes and plug in the Mini to load all my iPad 2 apps using "Restore"?

Or, do I have to download all apps individually?

And, are the iPad 2 apps compatible with the Mini? 😕
