Is there an app that will allow you to play a movie on your MacBook connected to a TV and hear the audio through the iPhone's speakers? I live in an apartment and would like to use the phone as a personal listening device when watching movies so as to keep the volume lower (I only have 50% hearing capability as I'm completely deaf in my right ear).

Thanks much for any help you can provide.:)

I think that this will not work correctly as there are too many devices and the audio would be out of sync. Plus a quick search doesn't show a clear way of doing this.

The easiest solution is to play the movie from the MacBook and plug in headphones to the MacBook. You might have to change the audio settings in case it sends the audio to the tv by default.

Also some tv's have headphone output, so you could go that way (and maybe add a headphone extender).
