Use iPhone as a Harddrive ??

    Is it possible to use the iPhone 3G as a Harddrive
    to store files ?

    kind of, there is a free app called Air Sharing. You can use that to store comp files on your phone over the WiFi. Check it out, its pretty cool

    but i mean to drag files onto it, like an external HD......
    not over wi-fi.
    that would take to long for large files anyways...

    Nein. I think with v3.0 apple will open up the iPhone a little more and allow for this sort of file transfer... but not for at least another year sadly.

    wow. thats definitely surprising. i hadnt noticed that. why do u think apple would do that?

    i remember there being an uproar when the first iphone and ipt did not have the option "enable for disk use" that every ipod had had before it

    i want it back needless to say

    They did it, most likely, to stop the efforts of jailbreaks. How well did that work out?
