hey all,

I'm currently working on a MASSIVE project in Excel (35,000 rows right now). I have to extract certain information out of a text file and put it in some labeled columns (already tried Get External Data, text wasn't delimited correctly enough to be useful). So I'm doing a lot of cut and paste. Is there anyway to make the mouse scroll button capable of "cut" on pressing it and "paste" on CMD + pressing it? Are there any other workflow enhancements you can suggest? I'm desperate here. thanks.

With a logitech mouse you can do that through its system preference -> Logitech Control Center. You can configure the buttons to make most types of keystrokes (including cmd+c and cmd+v).

I bought my wired, 6-button, mouse for $19 (MX310), so that might be worth it to you.

35,000 rows :( My condolences. Hope it's helping save the world or something.
