I have a MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Early 2015) with Mojave 10.14.6. When I connect my Mac to my TV with a HDMI cable, I only get the sound on the TV from a YouTub video on the Mac and no corresponding video. The TV only displays my MacBook's background background image. What am I doing wrong; do I need a different HDMI cable?

Thanks, Al

Its likely a display setting issue. Go in to System Preferences > Displays. You likely want to set it to mirror your MacBook display.

I think you need to go to SysPres-Sound and set sound out to the HDMI device.

Thank you so much for your suggestion. The setting for mirror display is only available when HDMI is connected. I found it and corrected it and it's working great. Thanks again!
