I have another quick one on TimeMachine...

Can I limit how far back TimeMachine will back up? i am not interested in having a zillion versions of a file, just the last 2 maybe 3. Is there a way to limit how far back TimeMachine will go?

I just got my Drobo today, and since the Drobo provides redundancy, will using TimeMachine eat up the Drobo with old versions?

Thanks in avance...

Two Options

You've got two options:

1) Create a partition which is of a particular size specifically dedicated to TimeMachine.

2) Use a simple Automator script that tells TimeMachine (via Terminal commands) to limit the total size to a particular size. We have a community created Beta version of this script we'll be posting to DroboSpace.com/developers in the next couple of weeks. If you can wait until then, this is a great option. I am currently using it.
