Use of UK iPhone in Germany

    Hi guys ive got and live in the UK, but will be going away for a few days to Germany on Tuesday. Does anyone know how much I will be stung for with the call charges, and know if you can use 3G or anything else while iam there?

    Call charges are available on o2's website. BUT you can send text messages for free. Every time you send a text it takes 4 text messages off of your allowance.

    Really? I did not know this. Thanks a lot for letting me know. Does this only work for Germany or other countries too?

    I travel to Germany a lot and in my last trip there I was checking my email and browsed the internet for a bit (say, 20 minutes) and all I was charged fo that was £0.69. Not bad, I say!

    o2 charge £3 per megabyte of data - but sometimes mess up like in the above case

    other countries also. I was impressed but only found out for sure after I got back off my holiday. But it is definitely the case.
