I unfortunately had to swap out my old hardware for new hardware due to a hardware issue, giving up my jailbroken, old bootrom 3GS for a 3GS with a new bootrom. I up'd it to 4.0 (since I know I can end up downgrading anyways), can I JB with Spirit?

Ok, but I CAN downgrade to 3.1.3? And how can I restore to a previous backup that was made on 3.1.3 without upgrading to 4.0 when I downgrade? Old iTunes?

I think for 3GS you cannot downgrade from iOS4 to 3.1.3 unless you have your SHSH saved (If I remember correctly Apple has stopped signing that particular firmware).
Of course, don't have em saved since it's the new phone, and didn't JB so I COULD save them before iTunes forced me to upgrade when I wanted to restore to my backup. Haha, oh well. Looks like I'll play the waiting game. No big deal! Thanks guys.
