iPhone 12 Pro Use This Phone as My Location

I just went into Settings > Privacy > Location Services > Share My Location and there was a button that said Use This Phone as My Location. It was not a toggle on/off. It was simply a "button". I tapped on it. Now it says My Location - This Device (see screenshot).

What did I just do? Does this mean that if I ever lose my phone and attempt to locate it with Find My, it will tell me that the phone is with me?

PS: I wish that I had asked what that button did before I tapped on it. Because, like I said, it was not an on/off toggle. It was simply a button labeled "Use This Phone as My Location" which disappeared after I tapped it, suggesting that whatever I did was permanent.

if im not mistaken.its for example,i have that activated and im lost somewhere but im unable to move(fell off a cliff)i can use that to send my location to my wife to send the military or CIA.

erm i personally wouldnt say its good or but but i dont mind it on.as i wouldnt know when i will need to use it.the easier option for me is use Whatsapp and share live location.

It determines which device in your selection of devices is used when determining your location in case you share that location information with others listed on that page.
