I was recently looking for a copy of OS X Leopard for my PowerBook, and I was hoping to get a copy locally instead of going to eBay. Fortunately, someone was willing to sell his copy.....at $40.

Being a regular forum visitor, I felt the price was too good to be true, so I met the owner and examined the package. Everything was in working order; my PB read the Disc with no issues, and there was not a single scratch to be found. Very happy, I paid the money and walked away.

I was thinking about how the used Apple market here is so different from the States, and lo and behold...I saw a post of someone selling a clamshell tangerine iBook and original blue iBook...for 500, and about four replies saying "if the person above me canceled, give me a call."

If there are other international users, have you seen other seemingly odd prices?

OS X Leopard is very old. $40 sounds about right. Same with the iBooks. None of them are supported anymore. Since Apple dropped support for PPC Apps in their new OSs, the PPC software and hardware has just plummeted.

Right, but on eBay, I don't think I saw a copy at under $100. Probably there is more demand in the States since there are significantly more PPC Users than probably the entire Mac user population of South Korea...
