Started to look for a used M4 Max Mac Studio and noticed USED prices have gone up to almost the retail price since last year.

Used pricing should go down over time correct ?

Is this due to the RAM shortage?

Should I just wait for the M5 Mac Studio since I was not planning on spending almost full retail on a USED M4 ?

My M1 Max Studio that I paid $2000 is now worth $500 in the eyes of Apple.

However on the same used market, they are fetching over $1200.

So strange these days...

The old adage, if you need one now, get one, if you can wait, then wait.

I have the M4 Max, its a great machine, but if I had a choice between the M4 Max and M5 MAx, I'd pick the M5 Max every time.

When the M5 Studio does come out, odds will be high that you'll have buyers remorse over not waiting. The onnly thing is, its not expected to be released until later this spring, so be prepared to wait

Thanks!

Will the M5 Studio release during the fall when the iPhones release ?
