I'm confused by the stats on my SSD. When I open DaisyDisk, it shows there is 164Gb free on the 250Gb SSD, i.e. 86Gb used. When I look under Storage in System Settings, it also says the same.

When I scan the drive using DaisyDisk, I get the attached screenshot figures. They show 95Gb used in total - the 86Gb plus the 9Gb purgeable - yet if I add up the sub numbers, 78.9Gb+22.1Gb+..., that total is 129Gb.

Can anyone explain this to me?

Thanks, but no, it’s not that. Hidden files are showing. It shows 95Gb used in total, yet it also shows about 129Gb in component parts. That’s what I don’t get.
