I am wondering which to buy a used stainless steel series 2 which can be bought for about the same price as a new aluminum series 3? I wouldn’t get the LTE series 3 so both would be the gps model.

I think you can get a stainless steel AW2 for less than $360 which is the price for a new GPS only AW3 in 42mm.

The speed of the AW3 has really surprised me. I was trying to use my Series 0 for as long as possible but I tried the new watch in store and bought it immediately. Now the Series 0 is sitting in the drawer. Wonder if I can sell it at an acceptable price or just keep it for nostalgic moments later.

Well first I would ask yourself do you want aluminum or stainless? Their big differences in the materials and with the stainless model, it also comes with the Sapphire display. I would likely opt for Series 3, it does offer a speed increase as others have said. But functionality wise, they're very similar to each other.

I decided on the series 2 stainless steel I was able to get it for less than a new aluminum. The sapphire glass was the difference maker as the aluminum cases glass gets small scratches that I know would drive me insane.

I sold my S0 42mm SS for $150 on CL when I got my S3 ... I'm not sure if that's a good price or not, but it was better than just leaving it in a drawer ...

I got $105 for my SS S0 so I think you did just fine. I agree getting anything is better than having it sit in a drawer.

I got $95 for my Alu 42mm S0, then got a Series 2 SS w/ Milanese for $355 (shipping included.)
