Are there speculations that ultra 2 watch will arrive this year, so current ones will drop in value?

As this is gen 1 for the Ultra, there is no established pattern yet. Haven‘t heard any specific rumours, either. That being said, I would bet the Ultra will get annual updates in the fall just like the regular Series Watches. It would be quite strange if the S9 Watch in september would get new features that a non-updated Ultra would lack. How big of an update the Ultra 2 will be - and how much the OG Ultra would drop in value because of that - is anyone‘s guess right now. The only real rumour we have for the new generation of Watches is that they‘ll (finally) get a new, faster CPU.

Rumour has it that the S9 will come out with a new processor.
There's also a rumour that there will be an Ultra with Micro-LED(?) in late 2024.

It's possible that Apple would update the S9 this year with a new processor, and then update the Ultra next year, but that would leave the Ultra with an older processor than the S9, so that seems unlikely.

I expect that we'll see a Gen 2 Ultra this year with new processor, and then Gen 3 next year with updated screen.

Hoping Apple reintroduces a black DLC coated Titanium S9. If not I will be keeping my series 7 SBTi for another year. It still shows 100% battery capacity.

I would bet they will release a black Ultra this year (or next), but the Ti Edition models are probably gone forever as titanium is now the „Ultra material“ and one of the Ultra‘s USPs.

It upsets me, but I think you're right. The titanium body is probably not coming back to the regular models.

I'd definitely like to see a black Ultra

Black ultra would be what I want too. The current color is the main thing that’s holding me back from buying. I am still rocking my 4 and it’s silver so I want something that looks different color-wise and feel diff, hence I’m looking at an Ultra.

I probably won’t use all its features like it’s meant to be used but I don’t want a S8 since it looks similar to my 4.

Yeah, I would expect that if Series 9 uses a new chip, that that chip would be used in the new Ultra OR it would be an even more advanced chip. I can't see the contemporary Ultra at that time using an older chip than the Series 9.

EDIT: selfishly, I hope that ALL of the software features in the new Ultra would still be available in the original Ultra. I don't care that the new Ultra would have an updated chip, but I do care not having all the same software features available :)
