Thanks for the info. I'm finally an apple watch 4 owner! So i'm looking for a screen protector for it and the many ones that i've seen they all have bad reviews. If anyone have screen protector for their apple watch and it works very well i would love the help. thanks!

An article that's nothing more than a compilation of older articles? Slow news day?

Just kidding! :D

Merry Christmas to MacRumors staff and members everywhere!

Here’s a tip: get a screen protector.

I guess it depends on the activities you do are and if you needed a screen protector for a normal watch.

Is there a way to not burn your eyeballs with the PWM flicker of the OLEDs?

Really? On the watch? Feel sorry for those select few who suffer from PWM on an Apple watch. I'd imagine most people don't actually look at their watch for more than a minute at a time. Reading or sending a text would be the longest I look at mine and if possible, I'll use siri for that.

What do you mean by that? A person looking at the screen or someone looking at a recording of the screen?
I have a series 1 watch and don't notice any flicker.

I love technology, but have never fancied a smart watch. I was not opposed to them, just didn’t fancy it.

I got a Fitbit Versa for Christmas. I love it! It feels like a gateway drug to the Apple Watch! The Apple Watch is in my future now!

For most people a screen protector isn’t needed. I had a series 0 since and series 4 both since launch. The sport edition. I don’t baby them and have had no problem. If you’re wearing in situation with a lot of dust etc maybe. But I would think twice

Only Series 4 has OLED and has the PWM flicker problem.

I wish Apple would let us change complication colors as well. I love the Infograph face but it feels like I'm looking at a rainbow every time I check my watch.

Do not do this. A couple of tiny scratches are much better than a piece of plastic covering your screen.
I once thought the same as you when receiving my Apple Watch Series 3 Nike Edition. Only took a month or so for those “tiny scratches” to turn into full fledge cracks and screen chipping/breaking. And this was all through normal wear and tear—not sports or anything extra curricular. If you are vain and can’t put a small protector on your screen, at least purchase an Apple Care warranty. (Or purchase the high end Apple Watch with sapphire screen.)

My normal daily wear resulted in a severely damaged screen on my Apple Watch Series 3 Nike Edition. Not happy with the screen quality. Lesson learned.
