Wow, looks like you’re correct. My Series 0 doesn’t seem to give me any issues. But the Series 4 does. Thanks for this info, I learned something new.
I wonder what the difference is...

Might be worth going in to an Apple store and asking

Thanks for the info. I'm finally an apple watch 4 owner! So i'm looking for a screen protector for it and the many ones that i've seen they all have bad reviews. If anyone have screen protector for their apple watch and it works very well i would love the help. thanks!

Unfortunately, a lot of people have absolutely zero understanding how to install these, and I’ve found the quickest method in 15 minutes or less. The film permeates water with heat, and then the solvent adhesive keeps it adhered.

Required:

-Isopropyl Alcohol (not for consumption)
-Microfiber Cloth
-Scotch Tape
-Heat Gun / Blow Dryer
-Water & Soap Solution or Liquid Tube
-Protector

Steps:
  1. Wash glass with Isopropyl Alcohol and Microfiber.
  2. Apply 3-4 Scotch tape strips (overlapping each other) to the glass. This captures any dust or lint.
  3. Remove the Scotch tape.
  4. Spray the liquid solution
  5. Apply the protective film and spin it in circular motion with your index finger to get the entire protective film soaked and lubricated consistently.
  6. When you have your positioning dialed in perfectly, apply the heat source in a sweeping motion from the top for 5-10 seconds. Check positioning again, and apply heat around the edges, then from the top again, both for 5-10 seconds. Ensure positioning is perfect and apply heat around edges for 5-10 seconds.
  7. Begin folding down edges and you’ll notice they will start to “stick” because there isn’t much water left.
  8. Let sit for 10 minutes, come back apply heat source around all edges for 10-20 seconds.
  9. Continuously monitor corners and keep them pressed down. Once you are past about 3 hours, should be in the clear.
  10. Clarity will improve as moisture permeates the protective film that is covering the face. It won’t appear as pixelated.
None of this overnight BS! Enjoy.

For most people a screen protector isn’t needed. I had a series 0 since and series 4 both since launch. The sport edition. I don’t baby them and have had no problem. If you’re wearing in situation with a lot of dust etc maybe. But I would think twice

I had the original, (I think a series zero?) and it just broke a few months ago. I'd never used anything to protect it. No screen protector, no case. Tough little watch all things considered.

I am impressed with the series 4. For the wife the series 3 for Xmas, and she is very happy

I have been waiting for a while to get an Apple Watch and to be honest I was not going to get one until the right time. My wife gave me series 4 and I’m enjoying it very much. I also purchased series 3 for her to see if she was going to like it. She loves her Apple Watch.

Apple has done well with the AW, very impressed how they evolved it and made it part of the experience

Here's my "pro" tip.

Make your favorite watch face the second one in the list. This means that your 2nd and 3rd choices will each only be one swipe away (left or right).
