My siblings were born on the seventies, I was born on the eighties and we used to listen to Nirvana in the nineties... So what's the name for this decade? The zeroties?

What would make it official other than common usage? I don't think there is a committee that decides these things ;)

    Blimey, that was quick!

More importantly what should we call the next decade, since this one is about over?

For me it's official once it's used on MTV's Top 100 videos of the X-ies :p

I think we should call the years 2010 through 2012 The Tweens, while we're at it.

Funny I never thought of 'naming' the first ten years of the millennium.. How about The SingleDigities? okay that was bad... :D I'm overtired.

    For consideration:

    The Lohanians.

    The Gwaries.

    Back when the robots attacked.

    The iPods.

    The Ballmer years.

I like it. It's got a ring to it. Rolls off the tongue easily. Let's go with this one.

When you get old you'll call this decade "the good old days".

I call it the 2000's. Nothing else really sounds right. Nothing will until 2020.

    • The Ohs
    • The Oughts
    • the "Have nots"
    • The Ws
    • The MMs (Roman style)

Starting in 2011, I'm nominating "The Onesies".
    We can call it Onesie-one.
