After upgrading to Leopard I attempted to setup my iMac so that both me and my wife could use it without getting in each other's way.
I paid the extra $10 per year to get her a .Mac email-only sub-account to my account. I set up her user account so she could easily log in and I set up her email. Everything working so far. I turned on Address Book sharing and added her to the list, sending an invite, and allowing for editing.
WTH. 😕 She can click on the subscription for the address book but it won't sync b/c she doesn't have a full account. I just want her to be able to use iPhoto to send photos through her .Mac email account just as easy as I do. But I want 1 consolidated Address Book for us to use and have it so that either one of us can update it.
I also want her to be able to browse the web and have her own bookmarks and windows open, and specifically NOT to close mine.
I figured that I would also like us to have a shared iTunes library, as well as shared iPhoto and iMovie libraries, so that if either of us rips a CD, or makes a new playlist, or imports from the camera, etc. we can both see those changes.
But we can each have our own desktops, dock favorites, spaces, email, bookmarks.
WHY IS THIS SO HARD TO DO!!!!
