Hello,

I restored my Mac Operating system not long ago. After I restored the OS I had went in and ran Time Machine and restored the "Downloads" and "Movies" folder back to my Mac. Well, everything came over, however the restored folers lost it's icon. How do I go about getting my icons back on these folders? See attached screen shots.

Thanks for the help all.

try moving the blank, no icon folders to your desktop and recreating the folders with the correct name, like "Downloads" and "Pictures" etc, and see if icons are then shown on the folders. if not try a reboot. then move over your files to those folders.

for the stacks drag off the blank folders and add in the new folders with the icons.

Wow, I can't belive I didn't even try rebooting my Mac, LOL! that fixed it. For the stacks I had to re-drag it again and all is good now.
