Is there a way to enable user switching without asking for the password? I am a Mac noob - using a new MBP (10.4 - Tiger?)

I appreciate the admin password requests when changing system settings etc... That is cool. But I share the computer with my family, and would like to be able to switch users easily...

Thanks!

Set the user up with no password. I'm not sure if the system will let you do that but it is the only way as far as I know.

This type of security is pretty much built into Unix at a basic level.

Thanks - I am so used to needing passwords (for networking etc) that I never thought about not having a password.

I wonder what would break if I didn't have a password. I actually like the idea of a password when turning on the PC (or logging in), and when doing system changes. I just don't consider switching users as a security issue (after the first time of course). Maybe I am still in the 'Windows' mindset...
