Users Experiencing Extended iMessage, iCloud Service Outages [Update: Restored]

Apple is becoming unreliable as BlackBerry. :D
 
iMessages working for me, but iTunes Match is a no go and has been since yesterday eve- gave up on it. Now I know

Ditto here. Can't find any status pages on it. Anyone else?

If this outage was due to a security threat, and we don't know that, inconvenient as it may be, I'd rather put up with an outage, and knowing that Apple is on top of the situation, or at least working on it, than happy and blissfully, typing away, and being totally ignorant of a potential security flaw, that could wreak much more inconvenience on my life.

Security vulnerabilities are an annoying fact of life, we have to live with for now.

Sounds more like a service outage (some part of the user database unavailable): possibly a network or power failure.

A security problem would probably affect more users, or result in generally lower quality of service.

As someone said, this is not a big deal if you have alternatives, but don't keep critical data only in the cloud.
