the previous record was 24,892 users on Aug 28, 2008 at 11:47 PM. why don't we all set up a time and date to break this record, maybe even on the same day at the same time? to break the record on the same date and the same time but a different year would be quite cool.

other times could be used if people are unable to come on at that time, but wouldnt it be great for members of macrumors to take part in a record on macrumors?

apple recent big thing was the ipad, and records were not broken that day, so who to say that the release of a new product will ensure the record to be broken?

I ment something bigger. I don't know what, but something crazy. I ment big in terms of the Intel switch or the original introduction of the iPhone.

A record break would be cool, but as most people know most of the users are guests, so it would be hard to get them to be online also.
