So, Apple Support really, really sucks this time around ... I had a call-back time with Apple and they called 90 minutes too early and couldn't take the call.
Rescheduled for today and they sent me a secure link to send my receipt, a 6-page PDF of the original email. The support advisor received the document, but could only view page 1 because that's all their system allows for such attachments ... I had to parse the receipt into individual pages so that they could see the S/N on page 2. God what nitwits ... now it has been escalated to the "activation unlock team", the advisor could do nothing but collect information it seems. 😡
