Using 10.9 to restore new 6s from 5s?

have not upgraded to Yosemite because of all the bugginess. My new 6s arrives on the 25th, El Capitan on the 30th, so will ios9 work with Mavericks to backup my 5s to iTunes and restore it to the new phone?

Should work fine, as long as you're running the latest version of iTunes.
