Hey guys, just wondering if it was possible using a 2010 air snow leopard restore usb on a 2011 macbook air. just wondering cause from what i read, you cant do a customized installation of lion removing imovie, garageband and all the languages.

It's unlikely to work. Putting an older OS on a machine than the machine was designed for is sketchy, at best. The build of Lion that comes with the new Airs is specifically meant for them.

You can't do a custom install of Lion, but there is nothing stopping you from removing all that stuff post-install.

You cannot run Snow Leopard on a 2011 Air. It won't install and will kernel panic upon boot.
