i am using the 2015 MacBook currently which came with the 29w USB-C charger. I also purchased 2 extra charging adapters due to my mobility. Will I need to replace the 29w with the 61w or should I be ok?

I’m not too worried about a super fast charge rate by using half the wattage. I just want to make sure it will work, since apparently i read somewhere that it “will not” work, which I don’t really believe

Thanks!

A correlating question: Can one use the 61w charger from a MBP with a Macbook? Or will iut cause some sort of damage?

U can. The charge logic is in the OS-device not in the charger.

U can use any USB C charger from all brands not only Apple.

Same as before with USB A chargers on iPhones and iPads

Thanks for this. My wife has a 2016 rMB and my son and I respectively have 2016 and 2017 ntb MBP's. Glad to know we can charge any of them with each of our chargers without damage. Thanks!!!:)

Seconding the poster above. It'll work fine. USB-C is crazy awesome, in my opinion. I've used external batteries (15W) and iPad chargers (10W) to prolong the battery charge during the day.
