Out of curiosity has anyone with a MBA M1 tried to use a cooling pad to determine if it will prevent throttling. I imagine a scenario where you can use it most of the time without the cooling pad but for heavy duty use you would place the machine on a cooling pad. Something like this product

Someone here reported using a USB fan under the new Air with some success. Was probably something like what's at the link. They can help with hot laptops in general, but only to a point.
