My father has a copy of VirtualPC with windows 2000 included on the disc (it also includes a windows 2000 registration key). But he wants to use bootcamp, and so he needs a copy of XP. Does anyone know if the 'upgrade' XP will upgrade from the VirtualPC windows 2000 — that is, does it just need the old key, or does it need a real disc too? thanks, Michael

Won't work in Boot Camp. You can't install Windows 2000 to begin with on a Mac, so you can't upgrade it later. Or, during the Windows XP install there's no way to eject the CD to put it in the Windows 2000 CD to validate the upgrade.
