Using a lower charger for Macbook Pro M3?

Is that ok to use a 30w charger to charge my new MacBook Pro M3? and use the MacBook with this charger plugged? asking this because slower charger tends to preserve more the battery and make last longer.

OK (assuming a good charger) but not much advantage. Optimal charging is already managed by your Mac.

Just charging yes. Charging while using - depends on what you are using it for but battery status will tell you if your charger is not able to keep up.

Also, any benefit to battery health using a 30w charger is negligible since the laptop circuitry monitors charging and throttles amperage if temps get too high. In fact, your 30 w charger's life is at higher risk of failure as it was likely not designed to charge at max amperage of as long it takes to charge a laptop versus a phone.
