Hello!

I was wondering if I would be able to hook an ibook up to a stand alone monitor and view the ibook on there instead of the ibook screen. I know its possible, I'm just too much of a mac newb to figure it out on my own. :(

Yes. Your iBook comes with a little VGA adapter that you plug into the monitor port on the side. You plug your monitor into that, and it just works.

Edit: If you need to adjust your settings, choose "system preferences" from the apple menu, then click on the "displays" icon.

if you are feeling adventurous you can download a patch that will enable screen spanning for your iBook allowing you to use both monitors. Do a search on these forums or the web for it. I did it and have had no problems.
