Hi everyone. So we plan on getting 2 MacBook airs for at home and using a NAS for storage for both devices to access files on. Any recommendations for NAS that plays well with Mac OS? Probably going to be around 5TB of storage.
Pick any QNAP or Synology NAS, storage depends on the disk you put in it. I have Qnap with 2, 2Tera red WD drives in RAID 1. The one in the pic is really good, just bear in mind that a good NAS doesn't come with disks, so you have to buy them on top.

I use a Synology DS216i with 2 x 2TB WD Reds in , it host a share for Time Machine Backups for my iMac and the rest is used for films and music which are accessed via the Synology apps (Video Station and Media Server in the case of films). Works like a treat.

I have Qnaps and Asustor and actually prefer the Asustor, it has HDMI out, so does Qnap, but I like the interface and ease of use.
Can’t go wrong with any of the above.
