Hey, all! I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if it's possible to buy a brand new no-contract iPhone and then use it without any kind of plan, as just an iPod Touch? I already have a mobile phone plan I'm happy with (and another phone for that plan), but I want to buy a new iPhone from the VirginMobile store, just for wifi use. I really don't want to buy an iPod touch, I want to buy a new iPhone. Will this work, or will the phone be useless without a plan? And if it will work, is the setup difficult? Thanks everyone for your help!

Yes, but it has to be setup with a sim card first. Then pull the sim and use it as you want.

I use old iphones for that purpose after switching to new one. I have one in my car and leave it always plugged into car and use it for music
