On eBay i can buy a single 1.25GHz MDD CPU for 22 bucks, a DUAL 1.25GHz for 29.99 or a Dual 1.33 (Xserve) CPU for 60. But i can also get the Xseve heatsink. Since I know the 1.33GHz Xserve CPU works on a MDD (As a user to this forum has installed one) I was wondering is it was possible to use the Xserve's slimline heatsink in the MDD as well.

No-the attachment is totally different. Look at your current MDD heatsink and the Xserve heatsink on Ebay, and you'll see what I'm talking about.

In addition, I'd have some serious concerns about how efficient an Xserve heatsink would be in a tower.

I used an Xserve 1.33ghz cpu with a regular (not copper) MMD heatsink and works fine.
