I recently updated my OS to High Sierra from Sierra. I frequently use Air Drop to transfer pictures from my iPhone to Photos on my iMac. I do this via wifi. There used to be an option to either download the photos to the Download folder or directly to Photos. After switching to HS, that option appears to be gone and now I can only drop the pictures to the Download folder. It was so much easier to drop them directly into Photos but now the transfer has become a two-step process - having to import them from the Download folder.

Am I overlooking something, or has that option been removed?

You could just use iCloud to sync your photo library between your iPhone and iMac. Then they'd both always have the same set of photos in both places.

Not looking to go the iCloud route. Just looking for the easiest way to get the pictures off the phone without using cables.
