I have a 2013 Chevy Camaro.

Prior to Car Play, Chevrolet employed a system called MyLink, using Grace Note technology, to allow a USB connection to an iPhone or iPod.

My new iPhone doesn't seem to be compatible to this system.

Since iPods haven't been updated in a while, would they still be able to interface with this CarPlay predecessor?

I'm not talking about making connection via bluetooth.

I want a wired connection that will let me use steering wheel and voice controls to remotely control my device.

I would be willing to buy a new iPod...
...if it would work with MyLink.

Thanks!

It was up-to-date with the current iOS when I traded it for a new one last spring.

I have a 2015 Colorado and both a 4th and 5th gen Touch work perfectly with MyLink through USB. A 2017 iPad works as well.
