    Hello
I just got a MBP and i also have my DELL Inspiron 6400. Is it possible to make the Dell Inspiron an External Hard Drive for time Machine.

If not, are there any other NAS that can do the job. I dont wanna buy a Time Capsule as i already have a router and dont wanna spend that much money.

    Any idea's guys?

You need TM device to be HFS+ .. You can use this with your 'nas device' but use it @ your own risk ...

You can get an external hard drive for a very reasonable price. Really, it doesn't make too much sense to back up your computer to another computer anyways, and with the formatting differences between a windows machine and a Mac machine, I would really be worried about my data.

Good luck if you try it...

I agree on getting an external hard drive. Get rid of the Dell on ebay and get yourself a nice USB/Firewire drive. Prices are really down on external storage.
