Been using my X exclusively since launch. Just grabbed my galaxy s8+ and that was quite an adventure. I don’t know how many times I tried swiping up from the bottom lol

Maybe Apple made all these gestures so it would be difficult to go back to another phone? I kid of course but I sure appreciate the gestures.

Anyone else have any adventures in using another phone after using only the X for awhile?

I’m back on my iPhone 7 and every now and then I’ll try to swipe up to get to the home screen. It doesn’t help that I also have an iPad 12.9” with the same gesture support as the X. But I’ll eventually get over it :)

Yes I use my old 7+ as a secondary device for games and I often try to swipe up to go home. I’ll keep swiping up to go home 5+ times and get frustrated as to why it doesn’t work.

I honestly can’t go back! The X truly is the future, and I love how Apple incorporates gestures on both the Mac trackpad and the X to be so intuitive and seamless.

I don’t personally have any experience w/ iPhone X, but it speaks volumes about Apple’s ability to come up with gestures that are so fluid and natural that it makes it tough to go back to another phone.

I've been swiping up on my iPad, touching the screen to wake it. I've also occasionally touched the screen of my MacBook Pro instead of the keyboard.

Brilliant post. And this is what makes Apple so unique, they do things so differently from other phone manufacturers that make the iPhone unique in its own way, which makes it very difficult to want to use anything else after you have adjusted to their features.

It's almost like somebody that uses iOS for so long and then there tempted to try android, then they find out that android is not exactly what Theu thought it was at all and then they come back to iOS, appreciating how intuitive and simplistic it is.

Eh...I might have done it a few times. No big

Always refreshing to return to 10.1.1 on an old fashioned rectangular screen

I do switch platforms occasionally. For example I bought the Galaxy S8 last April, even though I knew I was going to get the iPhone X at the end. I like trying other stuff too but never for too log. Always come back to iOS.

embarrassed to say, if I don’t use my rmbp regularly, I find myself absentmindedly tapping on its screen and wondering why nothing happens. o_O

Quick question. Which do you prefer? I am deciding between the X and the regular s8.

I have not gone to another phone but I keep trying to swipe up on my iPads. The home button just seems...annoying now. Ha.

On that note, a colleague of mine said yesterday she had heard there were problems with the home button on the X. I said uh, yeah, I guess if you consider it not having a home button a problem. I don’t understand what sort of reviews some people are reading.

Went from the SE to the X. My wife has the SE still, and I used it the other day. It seriously made my eyes bleed. The screen is so dated.

It's a really tough call. I always like to have one iOS device and one Android Device. I love both these phones and the X is so new that I'd probably keep the X at this point if I could only keep one. My opinion might change in a few months though!

I agree.
In another thread I made mention Apple has already sold millions of next generation iPads without having a product.

Between facial recognition and swiping they have changed how we interact with their devices
