Using Apple Watch with an iphone 5

Hi Guys,

Contemplating buying an Apple Watch Sports edition but wondering how that will work with my iPhone 5 ? I know Apple supports it but any issues or degradation in performance versus pairing with a newer iPhone.

Any feedback would be much appreciated.

You can't use Touch ID to unlock the Watch and you can only have Pay on the Watch. That is all I can think of.

I have family who use iPhone 5 alongside the Apple Watch. I helped them set it up. It is seamless, and I notice no concern versus using it with my iPhone 6.

iPhone 5 won't hold you back on the Apple Watch experience. If you want the watch, go for it!
